Fastest Growing Electronic Artists of 2019

We’ve been rounding up some of the highlights in music from 2019. When looking back at this year, you’ll see a lot of artists rose to the top of everyone’s must see lists. These artists put out infectious tracks that were bumping in your car and at shows and festivals. We’ve rounded up a list of the top 10 artists that were fastest growing this year in EDM.

1. Subtronics

He was just listed as this year’s breakout star by yourEDM.com. Subtronics really broke out this year and was at major festivals like Lost Lands, Electric Forest, Imagine Music Festival and more. Definitely interested to see where 2020 will take him.

2. i_o

i_o truly brought techno to the mainstream this year. Something about his brand made it more inviting for non-techno lovers to become hooked. He packed out Circuit Grounds at EDC Las Vegas at 6 pm and played major festivals across the country and the world. Keep an eye on this one.

3. GG Magree

Representing the ladies, GG Magree made big waves this year as she brought her infectious and energetic energy from festival to festival. While she doesn’t have many releases out currently, I expect she’s been working on some magic for 2020.

4. Nitti Gritti

You really never know what you’re going to get when you go to a Nitti Gritti set. I think that’s what keeps people coming back for more. Definitely saw him as an artist and his fan base explode this year. He also announced a side project this year with Party Favor called SIDEPIECE which is their house duo project.

5. Dr. Fresch

The king of G-House took the EDM space by storm this year. From playing major festivals like Shambhala, Electric Forest and Goldrush Arizona to releasing so many fire singles this year. His sound will get you grooving and moving across the dancefloor.

6. Peekaboo

“Babatunde” was a major bass release last year that showed Peekaboo as an artist to watch for in 2019 and he did deliver. His EP “Wrecking Ball” peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic charts this year and excited his growing fanbase.

7. Whipped Cream

Another woman artist that has been making a name for herself in the bass scene is Whipped Cream. With her heavy sets and persistence to stand out, it inspires so many to go after what they want and fans keep coming back for more. This year she played Electric Forest, Lost Lands, and Electric Zoo just to name a few.

8. SVDDEN DEATH

Another bass artist who made an introduction to the bass scene in 2017/2018 and rode out that momentum making it a big year for himself in 2019. SVDDEN DEATH released his first EP “Voyd 1.5” and introduced a new style of set called “SVDDEN DEATH PRESENTS: VOYD” that has enticed fans from all over. Highly recommend trying to catch a VOYD set in 2020.

9. Kaivon

Kaivon came up this year making him a top artist to see on lineups around the country. His euphoric future bass drops are infectious to listen to and to witness live. He is so talented and can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for him.

10.Sullivan King

One last final bass/dubstep artist that grew exponentially this year. Sullivan King is when you have heavy metal mixed in with dubstep drops and it’s unlike anything you’ll ever see in this space. That’s how he’s made a name for himself this year and cultivated a loyal fanbase.
